Rose Milk

Summer is the time when you get most to experiment and try out new beverages. This recipe was given to me by an Aunt. The rose petals/essence in the recipe works as a cooling agent to keep you body cool. It’s refreshing and aromatic too. Here’s the recipe

Ingredients:

  • 200 ml Rose essence
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 tsp (or more if required) Red food color
  • 2 tsp ginger juice

Method:

  • Make a syrup with the water and sugar
  • Add the rose essence and color
  • Add ginger juice
  • Allow to cool and refrigerate
  • While serving add 2 tsp of the syrup to a glass of pre-boiled, chilled milk and serve with ice cubes if required

Preparation time: 15 mins
