Prawns Olarthiath

“Juicy, succulent prawns infused with a tangy masala.”- Susan Abrams



  • Prawns – 250 gms
  • Salt – To taste
  • Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Chilli powder – 1 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger+Garlic paste – 2 tsp
  • Coconut oil – 2 Tbsp
  • Curry leaves – optional


  • Clean & de-vein the Prawns
  • Wash with a little turmeric
  • Heat oil, put in the curry leaves
  • When fried, put in the ginger-garlic paste & sautee till leaves turn golden
  • Add the prawns, turmeric & chilli powders, & salt
  • Saute until the prawns are cooked well
  • Can be stored in a large jar for at least 6 months
