Oatmeal Cake with Pecans

A healthy tea time alternative to creamy cupcakes, this is my recent favorite! If you have 15 minutes before your tea, you definitely have a great treat to munch on. Flour free and low in calories, this is definitely a good-n-healthy bite.

Ingredients:

  • Oats: 1 cup
  • Sugar: ½ cup
  • Crushed apple or apple sauce: 1/4th cup
  • Milk: 1/4th cup
  • Butter: ½ cup
  • Ground cinnamon: ½ teaspoon
  • Chopped pecans: 1/4th cup

Procedure:

Preheat your oven to 380 degrees. Combine sugar, butter, applesauce, ground cinnamon together. Gradually mix oats and milk and whisk it. Grease a small baking pan or a loaf pan and pour the mixture. Top it with chopped pecans. Bake for 20-30 minutes until firm.
