Revolve Around the Mumbai Skyline @ Pearl of the Orient

It had been long that I wanted to visit the place. So what better occasion than my husband’s birthday I thought. The place seemed perfect for a great romantic dinner. It’s the only revolving restaurant in Mumbai as part of the Ambassador Group of Hotels. I had booked a table for dinner and when we went the place was dimly lit to inspire the mood. Its menu is restricted only to Oriental cuisine thus offering very limited options for those not particularly fond of Chinese cuisine. The service was very prompt and good. They even customized the food according to our taste buds. A suggestion to tone down the spices or add more veggies was welcomed by them. We had beer a paneer starter, a chicken dish Huan fried rice. For desserts we had Dates pancake with ice cream.

The restaurant takes an hour to complete a circle and since it was night, we had the most amazing view of the Queen’s necklace at Marine Drive and Mumbai Skyline. Its one of the places where you can enjoy the view as well as talk easily as they don’t have loud music.

Each dish was priced around Rs. 450-550. The food was reasonably good and the price was justified not by the food but by the ambiance and the view offered. Would thus recommend it for the latter.
