Shahi Mushroom Paneer

The winter season gives you the allowance of eating calorie rich food without worrying much about weight gain, because the body burns fat easily trying to maintain its temperature. I was in a mood to eating something ‘shahi’ so the obvious option that came to my mind was Shahi paneer. I decided to throw in a few mushrooms as well so the outcome was Shahi paneer mushroom.

Ingredients
•    200 gm: Paneer (cottage cheese)
•    100 gm mushrooms
•    1/4 cup beaten curd
•    1/2 cup Milk
•    1 1/2 cup tomatoes
•    1/2 cup Onion
•    1 tsp ginger garlic paste
•    2-3: Green chilies
•    1/2 tsp: Garam masala
•    1/2 tsp: Red chili powder
•    2 tsp: Tomato sauce
•    3 tsp Ghee
•    Salt to taste
•    ½ tsp turmeric powder

Method
1.    Heat half the amount of ghee and add onion and fry till they are pink.
2.    Add ginger-garlic paste, green chili and stir again.
3.    Grind the tomatoes into a paste and add it to the onions.
4.    Add curd along with salt, chili powder, turmeric, garam masala powder.
5.    Add chopped mushrooms and paneer and cook for 7-8 minutes, covered.
6.    Adjust salt and serve hot with chapattis/paratha
