Batatyache Kaap (Fried Sliced Potatoes)- A Maharashtrian Delicacy

I was totally floored by this dish when I first tasted it. My colleague had got it in her lunch box, but even before lunch we went down to our office canteen and devoured it with ketchup. It’s called ‘batatyache kaap’, meaning ‘sliced potatoes’ in Marathi. It’s very simple but tastes amazing and can be served as snacks or as a side dish with Pulav/ rice, etc. Having run out of all vegetables except potatoes, last week, I was happy that the situation had provided me the opportunity to try this out without postponing it any further.
