Orange and Carrot Cookies

The mere thought of cookies start making my mouth water. Cookies make the child side of me come alive. Cookies are a common favourite amongst all age groups. All of you trying to resist the urge of eating a cookie for being health conscious, you will be glad to learn this recipe which makes your favourite item nutritious. So, now you can indulge with a little less guilt.

Take wheat flour, maida, and rava in a bowl. Add ghee and baking powder in it, stir and mix properly. Now add shredded carrots, orange juice, milk powder, cardamom powder and dry fruits slices, sugar substitute like stevia, sugar free or Equal powder. Mix them properly and make dough out of the mixture. Make it healthier by adding skimmed milk powder instead of the regular milk powder. Take small parts of the dough, make cookies and arrange them in a non-stick plate of oven griller. Bake them on 225 degree for 10 to 15 minutes in a pre heated oven griller. Check after that and if necessary keep again on 200 degree for 5 to 10 minutes. The cookies will be wheatish in color when cooked.

This can be served with chocolate sauce. Thanks to the sugar substitute it can be relished by diabetics without any worry. It can be stored for 8-10 days in a container and can be eaten whenever you get those sweet pangs.
