Benefits of Brinjal ( Eggplant/Aubergine)

Brinjal or Eggplant is  rich in Vitamin A & B, Calcium, fibre, folic acid, sodium, vitamin C and potassium. It is also sometimes known as poor man’s meat since it is a low-cost vegetable.

Brinjal unlike any other edible plant is rich in nicotine.However, when compared to passive smoking the amount of nicotine content in brinjal is negligible. Infact, on an average around 9 kg of brinjal contains about the same amount of nicotine as in a cigarette.
