A visit to Nariman Point prompted me to go to Ruby Tuesday for lunch and since then I’ve been to its branch in Malad, Inorbit for their Tall Cake. More about it later!! The ambience is of a typical American restaurant full of old photographs of American lifestyles, sports and displays of American sports gear and equipment like the baseball bat. They seemed to have put in a lot of effort in understanding the American standards and dining while setting up the restaurant. They have a great salad bar with around 15-20 options of salads like macaroni in ranch dressing, the coleslaw, some corn salad thrown in, and some pasta salad with chicken in white sauce, raw veggies, fruits etc. You are allowed unlimited servings for one at 199/- plus taxes.
Some of the things I liked were the nachos, mojito, salsa chips, French fries with cheese, Mexican spring rolls and garlic bread. But the prize went to the Tall cake or Short Cake which is an awesome dessert artistically made with 4 layers of chocolate cake, whipped cream, caramel sauce ,chocolate sauce and topped with vanilla ice-cream making it sinfully blissful.
It’s very expensive but definitely merits at least a one time visit. The bill for 2 could be Rs 1500/-
