Copper Chimney

I made frequent visits to the Worli branch of Copper Chimney which was located very close to my office, that being one of the few options apart from Jewel of India. If you’re going for dinner, it’s advisable to make a reservation in advance.  The ambience is really good – particularly on the first floor. The restaurant has an open tandoor where you can see the rotis being made. The restaurant is bright and well lit and seating is comfortable as well.

It’s a very good place for Indian food, especially rotis and curries, and I must say I’ve sampled quite a bit of their menu, thanks also to the training programs that our organization conducted there. A few suggestions would be paneer tikkas, veg makhanwala, chana peshawari, dal makhani, which is all to die for.
Do not forget, the burnt chili cheese nan and the famous kabuli naan for people who like a sweet dry fruit loaded naan. Last but not the least, the phirni loaded with a lot of rabri (yumm!!) at this place is nowhere available in India. Also try the Chutney served with Papad which is one thing they are famous for.

A Buffet too is available for Rs 300.

For the non-veggies there is Chicken Chop, Ab-e-hayat soup, Dum Aloo Kashmiri, Paneer makhni[mussalam], butter chicken, Burrah Chop, chelo kabab, Kadak masala roomali, Dal makhni, Kabuli naan, cheese & garlic naan, and Khumb Makai Paneer.  The average price of a dish is Rs 150.

Would definitely recommend it for a hearty Indian Khana.
