I came across a recipe for Chocolate Fantasy Cake, and that completely left me fantasizing about it. I’ve not put any frosting, as I like cakes without it. But since I had a jar of Nutella, I spread it on the ready cake instead of the frosting and the result was sinful. This recipe combines the flavor of chocolate and vanilla to give a great punch. I’ve used the short method of simply putting all ingredients in a blender to make a smooth batter. So it took me less than 10 minutes to have the batter ready. Also I had run out of unsalted butter so I’ve cooking oil and sour cream to give a rich texture.
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- ½ cup sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ cup cooking oil
- Preheat the oven at 180 degree C and grease a baking dish
- Put all the ingredients in a blender and whisk it into a smooth batter.
- Pour the batter in to the baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes at 180 degree C till a wooden tooth pick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean
- Allow it to cool in the baking dish in the oven and remove it after 15 minutes.
