Chocolate Fantasy Cake

I came across a recipe for Chocolate Fantasy Cake, and that completely left me fantasizing about it. I’ve not put any frosting, as I like cakes without it. But since I had a jar of Nutella, I spread it on the ready cake instead of the frosting and the result was sinful. This recipe combines the flavor of chocolate and vanilla to give a great punch. I’ve used the short method of simply putting all ingredients in a blender to make a smooth batter. So it took me less than 10 minutes to have the batter ready. Also I had run out of unsalted butter so I’ve cooking oil and sour cream to give a rich texture.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ cup cooking oil

Method:

  • Preheat the oven at 180 degree C and grease a baking dish
  • Put all the ingredients in a blender and whisk it into a smooth batter.
  • Pour the batter in to the baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes at 180 degree C till a wooden tooth pick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean
  • Allow it to cool in the baking dish in the oven and remove it after 15 minutes.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
