Bread Sauce: A Christmas favorite brought early!

I know you’d probably complain about our lack of consistency in thematic recipe providing, but believe me if you are someone as us, a group of youngsters who absolutely adores Christmas, you’d take every opportunity to write something about it. I mean what? Diwali is round the corner and Christmas is just some 72 days away. And 72 days ain’t nothin’. Delight your guests this Christmas with this lush sauce drizzled over your roast turkey and turn your Christmas dinner into a dinner to remember. Here you go.

Ingredients for Bread Sauce:
– Bread crumbs or chunks: 1 cup
– Onion: 1 small
– Cloves: 4
– Milk: 1 and a 1/2 cup
– Butter: 2 tbsp
– Ground nutmeg: To taste
– A pinch of salt (just a pinch)

How to make Bread Sauce :
– Stick four cloves in an onion. In a thick bottomed saucepan, boil milk and onion for about 20-25 minutes. Discard onion and add breadcrumbs, nutmeg and salt. Stir to make a thick sauce. When thick bubbles appear, add butter and stir.
Cool and serve. Heat just a bit before serving.
