Safed Halwa

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rava/sooji/semolina
  • 1 ½ cup water
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • A few cashews, raisins and almonds
  • 1 cup sugar

Method:

  • Heat ghee in a thick bottomed pan, then sauté the semolina/sooji for just 2 minutes it should remain white.
  • Now tip in water, cashew, raisins, almonds and sugar. Stir a little  and cover with lid. Simmer for 5 minutes and switch off flame.
  • Safed halwa is ready to relish.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
