Dates Delight

Come winter and it’s time again to increase the intake of dry fruits. Instead of the plain-Jane way of eating up dry fruits individually there’s this delicious recipe which combines dates, almonds, cashews, and hazelnuts.  I make a Tin full of it to serve me through winter. I had seen this recipe on a Television cookery show many years ago. It’s easy to make, delicious and healthy too.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dates
  • 4-5 tbsp Milk
  • ½ cup of assorted dry fruits-Cashew, Almonds, Hazelnuts
  • 2 tsp Sesame

Method:

  • Cook the dates in Milk till they become soft
  • Allow it to cool
  • Grind the other dry fruits coarsely
  • Mix it with the cooked Dates
  • Roll it into a log
  • Slice and serve

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Makes 5-6 peices
