Mojito: A party favorite rum based Cocktail

This is November, the mornings are getting exceptionally cool, the coffee tastes better and as we write this, we are listening to Hotel by DJ project. Heard anyone, our chic urbanite ladies? Well anyway, the fact that we are so charged up at 8 in the morning means that the party season is officially on! It’s time to get a bit more sinful than chocolate cup cakes. Know what we mean?

Here’s to you the recipe of this super cocktail called mojito that you can whip up in a second without having to shell big bucks out of your pocket; the only stringent part is the measurement. We strongly advise using a measuring glass. Unless you’ve been bar tending for 15 years, assumptions don’t work.

Ingredients:

  • Spiced Rum: 1.25 oz
  • Mint leaves: 12
  • Sugar: 1tbsp
  • Lime Juice: 0.5 oz
  • Soda: 2 oz
  • Crushed Ice: about half cup

Procedure:

  • In a short and stout glass, pour mint leaves, rum, lime, sugar and muddle with a glass pestle. Top with soda and garnish with mint leaves.
  • Ya, that’s Mojito.
  • And you pronounce it as Mohito. Like Baja as Baha from mexico!

Enjoy
