Coconut Chutney

In the recipe for Ragi Dosa, I had mentioned Coconut Chutney as the accompanying dish. It’s again a must have with Dosas, Idlis and also Upmas. In fact these dishes are incomplete without their better halves, the coconut chutney. So prepare some of this, dunk pieces of dosas or idlis and savor both the main dish as well as the flavor of coconut with a hint of other flavors.Ingredients:
•    Coconut (grated) – ½ cup
•    Roasted Channa Dal (Split chick peas) – 2 tbsp
•    Green chilies – 2 small
•    Ginger (chopped) – ½ tsp
•    Tamarind – ½ tsp (optional)
•    Salt to taste

Method:

Grind all the above ingredients and serve with Dosa/ Idlis/Upma

Serves: 2

Preparation time: 10 minutes
