After a weeklong fetish for chicken, here’s something for the vegetarians to dig their appetite on! This easy herb bread is a hit with anything and is as easy as counting 1-2-3. All you need is an hour in hand, some Italian herbs that we generally all have these days and an oven. Easy Herb Focaccia is ready to serve.

Ingredients:

  • 3 1/4th cup of all purpose flour
  • 1 envelope Yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4th cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup water, very warm but not boiling
  • 2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp of Italian herb seasoning
  • 2 Spanish onions cut in strips

Preparation:

Step 1: combine flour, yeast, sugar and salt in a bowl and mix well. To the mixture, add 2tbsp of olive oil and the water and knead well. Spread dough in a pan and leave to rise for at least 30 minutes.

Step 2: When the dough has risen, poke multiple holes in it and fill it with olive oil. Sprinkle parmesan cheese, onion strips and Italian herb seasoning and let it rise for another 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 3: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

Step 4: Bake at 375 for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
