So, what exactly is a flan? A flan is an open pie that has a short crust pastry base and a custard filling. More like your mum’s old fashion caramel pudding.
How does it taste like? A smooth custard-y, flavorful bite that keeps you going for more!
So, here’s to you the flan recipe.
Ingredients:
- 2/3rd cup sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 beaten eggs
- ¾ cup canned pumpkin
- 1 tin milkmaid
- 1/4th cup sugar
- 1teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Procedure:
- Blend everything in a blender, except the butter and 1/4th cup sugar.
- In the same dish that you’re going to make, pour butter and 1/4th cup sugar. Heat it on an open flame until caramelized. Now pour the flan mixture in it and bake for 20 minutes at 120.
Cool and invert to serve.
